Visual Pun

This piece was supposed to portray a visual pun. The assignment was to visually portray a word like butterfly orbookworm or in my case, a wisdom tooth. I'm not very impressed with myself with what I created. I feel like it's not quite AP work but to everyone else it's fun to look at and figure out. I would give myself a 3E because I feel like it has the potential to be better than it is but I just really didn't know how to make itbetter.

Memory Book

This piece was the memory book project. Being one of the first assignments, it was hard to get back in the creative side of things and remember how to portray a meaning in just two pages. These two spreads are definitely my favorite because it shows how bright and creative I like to be and I really like how my handwriting went well behind the first spread. I gave myself a 2D because I feel like the memory book as a whole wasn't very cohesive and that my intentions weren't clearly expressed in the other pages of the memory book.

Logo

This piece was to create a logo that represents yourself or maybe a business logo that you would like to use in the future. I did something personal that could be universely used. So I did my initials. I played with my initials "R.D." and I really liked how the design turned out. I do definitely think that the color choice could be changed but that's what I liked about it, you could change up the colors for whatever purpose. I give myself a score of 4F because I think I used my creative abilities both with drawing and photoshop but then the photoshop aspect could have been worked on more.

Artist Trading Cards

This piece was really exciting and fun to do. This assignment was to create artist trading cards. My two absolute favorite is the close up on a yellow flower and a night scene of hills. The yellow flower is actually one of my own photography and I liked it so much to portray it in painting. The night scene of the hills is one of my favorite because it looks very mystical and I've never really thought of myself creating something like that. I would give myself a 4D for the artist trading cards because I feel like I explored different ideas but there was no real meaning behind most of it.

Best Advertisement

This was my best advertisement and surprisingly the first photo I took when working on this assignment. I had my friend Alexis "hand model" for me and the picture turned out very well showing the art part of the photo and the classroom setting. This ad was to promote art education. Element: Texture. Principle: Balance

Zoo Photos

This photos were taken from our zoo field trip. I really tried to get the animals in their natural habitat because it was obviously hard to get close up to them. It was really fun to explore the different animals and get to know them a little. Elements: texture Principle: unity

pet portrait

This assignment was to take a photo of someone and their pet and make sure it captured their personality. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to take a picture of my sister and her new dog, mula. She has been wanting to take pictures with Mula for the longest time so she was very excited. Principle: value, unity.

Texture

This project was during class when we were told to go outside and take 3 texture photos. I wanted to get really close and get really clear photos of nature. I tried to take photos that no one would really recognize, but that only worked out for the first one. Element: Texture Principle: Emphasis.

Architecture and Landscape

Our class went into the mercy chapel to take pictures of architecture for our unit on architecture. We had 40 minutes to get good pictures of the intricate details in the chapel. I like the way the pattern looks on the microphone but how it still shows the background. Element: shape, Principle: depth and field

Mercy Street

This picture was for our mercy street assignment where we had to capture Mercy and apply it to our unit in photojournalism. I really just noticed how funny it was that there was a "women" sign, not even a "women's bathroom" sign. Principle: depth and field , element: shapes

Artificial Movement

This is my artificial movement photo. We were assigned to take a photo that we have taken and using photoshop, alter it to make the picture look like it's moving. I used my enviromental photo to make the photo look like there is movement. It kind of makes it look like a ghost, scary scene. element:movement.
